I deconstructed this ad by pointng out different techniques advertisers use to try and sell us their product. I labeled where in the ad they use the technique, so it should be very easy to follow.
Branded quiz
.For the branding quiz, me and my peers made a presentation showing people who are famous vs. people who should be known and are making a difference but aren't known. These people should be known concidering how much of change they are making. The people who are known are quite obvious so it should be very easy to differentiate.
For my project I used the Edeka 2015 Christmas Commercial. It is about an old man who's family is unable to come for Christmas. He tells them he is dead so they can all come and have dinner together. This ad uses a lot of different persuading techniques and Underlying Messages.
All four of us did an experiment with photoshopping. We had someone come in without makeup and then we put makeup on her. After doing so, we photoshopped her face proving that nothing you see is what the person really looks like. We admire people for not what they really look like due to photoshop. This video shows just how easily you are tricked, and basic techniques company's use to sell you a product.
